We are Stride City Run Club

Whether you’re lacing up for your first mile or training for a personal best, Stride City Run Club is built around one simple truth: movement connects people. Our weekly runs are more than workouts; they’re chances to meet neighbors, create consistency, and celebrate progress together. Joining is easy. Show up to a Wednesday or Sunday meet, sign in, and pick a pace group that fits you. We pair new members with experienced volunteers who know the routes and the group's rhythm. If you prefer to plan, register via RunSignUp or our Google Form so we can welcome you properly and keep you informed about route changes, weather updates, and special events. We believe in running with purpose. Our Safety First protocol means every run follows basic etiquette: wearing visible gear at night, running single-file on narrow sidewalks, and signaling clearly when passing.

We also coordinate with local partners and the city to advocate for safer, more walkable streets; wider sidewalks, shared-use paths, and public art projects that make our routes safer and more inspiring. Community impact is at the heart of what we do. Since 2021, we’ve welcomed over 2,000 participants and logged more than 3,000 miles; numbers that reflect real people changing habits and supporting one another.
Local businesses like Edge City Brewery, Embrace Art, and OMG Donuts have become event partners, offering post-run hangouts, hydration stations, and fun incentives that strengthen neighborhood ties.

Volunteers keep our engine running. From pacers and route marshals to event planners and social media helpers, there are meaningful ways to share your skills. Volunteering not only amplifies the club’s reach but also deepens your connection to the community you’re helping to shape. Looking ahead, we’re dreaming big: 5Ks and 10Ks that welcome families, half- and full-marathon options for seasoned runners, and inclusive events that spotlight Paralympic athletes. We’re also developing youth initiatives and accessible programming to enable children, seniors, and people with disabilities to experience the joy of movement. Tips for new members: start with the 2-mile loop, gradually increase your distance, and invest in supportive shoes. Bring water, wear reflective gear for evening runs, and communicate any health concerns to a volunteer before starting.

Most importantly, celebrate small wins — a faster mile, a consistent week of training, or simply showing up. Have a story to share? We love highlighting members who’ve transformed their health or found community through our runs. Please email us your experience or tag us on social to be featured in our next newsletter. If you’re ready to move with a group that cares about safety, inclusivity, and local impact, join us.
