You Are Never Alone

By Angelo Subida
You Are Never Alone

“You are never alone. Somewhere on this earth, there is always someone who is there for you. There is always someone that cares about you and feels your pain  There is always someone who will understand your story."

— Hina Yu

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, the flames will not set you ablaze."

— Isaiah 43:2

Evil isolates. It makes you feel like no one understands. Like you are fighting a battle only you can see.

But that is a lie. You are never alone. Others have walked this path. Others have survived.

And so will you.

Imagine a vast ocean. With waves crashing against the shore.

Each wave represents the trials we face. Heartbreaks, betrayals, moments of despair.

Here’s the beautiful truth: everyone you encounter is riding their own wave.

We are all navigating life’s tumultuous waters.

And in this shared experience, we find connection.

Have you ever felt like you were the only one carrying a heavy burden or wound?

It’s easy to believe that others have it all figured out. While you struggle to stay afloat.

But everyone has their battles.

Behind smiles and success stories lie tales of pain, disappointment, and healing.

Learn the power of connection.

When you share your struggles with another human being, you create space for others to do the same.

In moments of vulnerability, you realize you are part of a greater tapestry of humanity.

Our stories matter. They are the threads that weave us together.

When we embrace our narratives, we take the first step toward healing.

Your story, with all its complexities, is a testament to your strength.

It shows that you have faced evil  and emerged on the other side.

Every great hero has faced evil in battle.

From ancient texts to modern dramas, their  hero journeys resonate because they reflect our own struggles.

They remind us that even the mightiest warriors have wounds and scars.

Yet, they rise. They fight. They heal.

In this hero journey of healing, finding your tribe is essential.

This means stepping out of your comfort zone to reach out to others.

Look around. The world is filled with souls who share your struggles and yearn for connection.

Keep this truth close to your heart.

Healing is not a solitary journey. It is a collective experience.

Together, we discover that in our vulnerability lies our greatest strength.

In it, we learn. We grow. We remember that we are all part of a bigger story.

Evil wounds. That’s reality. But it does not define you. Others have been where you are. They survived. They healed.

And so will you. Because you are never alone.

• YOUR HERO JOURNEY •

Questions and Applications To Heal

As you go about your day, know and do the following to move yourself from theory to action:

1.  What wounds or burdens am I currently carrying? How can I begin to share them with someone I trust?

2.  In what ways can I create deeper connections with others who may be experiencing similar struggles?

3.  How can I reframe my understanding of my wounds as part of my journey rather than as something that defines me?

• PERSONAL NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR •

Tom saw me in-session for counseling and therapy.

His wife secretly took along all their three young kids to live in another country with her affair partner.

He felt so wounded and devastated by his wife’s actions. Ashamed. He was feeling completely alone in his pain.

It wasn’t until he decided to seek a therapist for healing. He found a few friends and relatives to keep him company.

He also gathered with some others in a church community who experienced the same psychological wound.

They cried. They learned. They laughed. And most importantly, they listened to each other.

In that sacred space of togetherness, he found solace and hope.

Tom learned that his wounds were not his alone to bear.

As I write this book, the world is in turmoil.

Newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump and Elon Musk have laid off thousands of federal workers.

Legal experts and media call it illegal and unconstitutional.

For many, this sudden job loss brings pain, rejection, and betrayal.

It is a deep trauma, made worse by elected  leaders causing it.

But something powerful is happening.

People are taking to the streets. They are protesting. They are supporting one another.

They are declaring, "We are not alone."

This is the heart of chapter one: You Are Never Alone.

When you are wounded by evil—through job loss, betrayal, or any trauma—it feels isolating.

You may struggle with rejection. You may question your worth.

But just as those affected by layoffs find strength in unity, so can you.

No one should suffer alone.

Sharing pain with those who understand brings comfort. It brings relief.

Seek connection. Reach out. Let others walk this journey with you.

Together, turn the wounds of evil into strength.
