YOU NEED TO REDUCE YOUR STRESS, MINDFULNESS WILL HELP

As many of you know I had a life changing accident while hiking with my dog 2,5 years ago. I now have a Traumatic Brain Injury as a result, I also experienced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and as a result was no able to sleep, when I lost my ability to sleep it changed everything. At the hospital the first plan of action was to take part in a  Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course for 8 weeks, no sleep medication prescriptions, not what I expected!

Mindfulness in particular Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and anxiety levels. According to a study published in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research, participants who completed an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program experienced a significant decrease in stress and anxiety symptoms compared to a control group. Moreover, these benefits were still evident three months after the program's completion.

Another study conducted by the University of Oxford found that employees who underwent mindfulness training had a 28% reduction in sickness absence compared to non-trained employees. This not only highlights the positive impact of mindfulness on mental health but also its potential to improve physical well-being and productivity.
